Mahasin El Amin
Clerk of Circuit Court
Mahasin El Amin was elected as Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County on November 6, 2018.
Ms. El Amin had the opportunity to serve as the Interim Chief Deputy prior to assuming office on December 3, 2018. She currently serves as the Secretary of the Maryland Circuit Court Clerks’ Association and is a member of the Conference of Circuit Court Clerks.
Ms. El Amin received her B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Florida in 2003 and J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2009. After graduating from University of Baltimore, Ms. El Amin served as law clerk to the Honorable Beverly J. Woodard, Associate Judge for Prince George’s County Circuit Court. She practiced law at the Maryland Legal Aid Metropolitan Office from 2010 until 2014. She later joined the Law Offices of Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., P.A. in 2014.
She served as the President and Corresponding Secretary of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Inc. Ms. El Amin is also a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and the Prince George’s County Bar Association. She coached Friendly High School’s Mock Trial Team and served as a mentor to newly admitted attorneys to the Maryland State Bar. In 2015, Ms. El Amin was named as one of Prince George’s County’s “Forty under 40”.
She has been an active member of the legal community since graduating from law school. Ms. El Amin is committed to ensuring the Clerk’s Office provides efficient, reliable and excellent service in a prompt and courteous manner.
She is a lifelong resident of Prince George’s County. Ms. El Amin is an avid marathon and ultra-marathon runner with a commitment to promoting a healthy work environment for employees of the Clerk’s Office.
