Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in which a neutral third person helps the parties make informed decisions to resolve their dispute. Mediation is voluntary and offers many advantages to a public court hearing. It is conducted in a private setting that may be less expensive than cost incurred in court litigation and appeals.
